Is your contractor’s license valid? Does he even have one? Verify it here.
Hiring an unlicensed contractor pose many risks, not just to the client but also to their family. The quality of work between an unlicensed and licensed contractor is immense. A licensed contractor receives more training and education compared to a contractor that isn’t licensed. Also, few unlicensed contractor have bonds or worker’s comp insurance. What that means is that you’d be in trouble if your property was damaged or if the contractor get hurt during work.
Don’t take the risk just to save a few bucks. It’s a possibility you’ll be paying more in the long run.
