By now everyone knows that Ellen DeGeneres is going to host the 2014 Academy awards. This will be her second time hosting the aging awards show. She may be just the move to have younger viewers tune in, who interest in the show has been on a decline. When they brought in Seth Macfarlane last year to host, it created some buzz from what people called controversial songs and opening monologue.

2013: Jennifer Lawrence. Tumbling while trying to receive her Best Actress award for “Silver Linings Playbook”
