McDonald’s workers are refused Air Conditioning

MCds no AC

Local New York McDonald’s has been in the news lately for allowing their workers to work in unhealthy environment. The workers were denied Air conditioning while working during the heat wave that has recently hit much of the east coast.

The employees have complained that the A/C has not functioned for over 9 years. The case has made more headlines when an employee collapsed in the restaraunt from heat.

When Air Conditioning is not fixed inside a kitchen, then that is just a call for trouble. Temperatures can reach up to 90 degrees! This is a cause for major change in management if they are allowing workers to be kept under such torture.

The major cause for attention looking through as a HVAC view, if the A/C hasn’t worked for over 9 year, that means the ventilation and air quality is not safe to breathe. The heat is only making it worse by adding smells and other forms of odors in the air.
